Homeless filmmaker makes a series about her experience

A new digital series about gentrification and homelessness, told in a raw yet comedic way; is raising funding and awareness.
 
BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Oct. 24, 2017 - PRLog -- In March 2017, Made A Lane Productions shot the pilot episode of its original web series "Homeless With My Louie Bag."

Parker, an aspiring fashion designer shares an apartment with her mom Surraya, a savvy legal secretary and aspiring entrepreneur who is also OCD.  Their lives quickly spiral as they lose their jobs simultaneously and shortly thereafter, their apartment. The audience witnesses Parker and Surraya struggle to navigate this stark new reality.

Throughout the series, the viewer will meet some of the characters the protagonist encounter and in some instances, live with as they seek support to reset their lives.

Surraya's (the mother) OCD tendencies and her being homeless makes for some funny situations; While Parker tries to have a social life to further her career, which allows for some challenging scenarios.

As the story develops, it begins to touch on the topic of housing in NYC, and how challenging it can be to secure housing.  It's a character driven human story.
