BEAUFORT, S.C. - April 24, 2017 - PRLog -- When Melissa St. Clair, Owner of Paper Chaser began celebrating Administrative Professionals Day it was known as Secretary's Day at the company where she worked full-time. Fast-forward to today where this administrative professional is now self-employed, operates a virtual-based company helping grow small businesses by providing professional administrative services remotely, and engages a vast network of colleagues who also work from home or a virtual office.

Administrative Professionals Week is celebrated annually the last full week of April with Administrative Professionals Day falling on Wednesday of the designed week.

National Professional Secretaries Week and National Secretary's Day was created in 1952 through the work of Harry F. Klemfuss of Young and Rubicam. Klemfuss recognized the importance and value of the position to a company or business. His goal was to encourage more women to become secretaries. Using his skill and experience in public relations, Klemfuss, promoted the values and importance of the job of secretaries. In doing so, he also created the holiday in recognition of the importance of secretaries. (HolidayInsights.com)

"Historically Administrative Professionals Week celebrated the frontline staffer and their important role in the workforce," said Melissa St. Clair. "Given today's technology and changes in the typical workspace structure, I consider Administrative Professionals in a broader sense to include professionals in my industry who are Virtual Assistants (VAs)." St. Clair continued, "Administrative Professionals Week for me is a two-fold celebration because I also celebrate my business anniversary around that same time."

Melissa St. Clair has been featured on FirstSun Consulting, Boston.com, Business Insider, CEO Blog Nation, MOAA, MyCorporation, Side Hustle Nation, Creative Click Media, The MilSpouseBloggers Daily; and she has served on the speaker panel of the National Military Spouse Network Military Spouse Career Summit and VAVirtuosos Virtual Assistant Online Conference.
