Lisa Allen of Relph Benefit Advisors Appointed to IRS IRPAC Committee

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Feb. 2, 2017 - PRLog -- Lisa Allen, CHRS, CFC, CAS VP Regulatory Affairs at Relph Benefit Advisors, an Alera Group Company, headquartered in Fairport, NY is one of only six from across the nation, newly appointed as members to serve a three-year term on the IRS Information Reporting Program Advisory Committee (IRPAC). IRPAC is a federal advisory committee that advises the IRS on various tax administration and reporting. Lisa will also be sitting on sub-committees representing employers across the US in regards to IRS ACA reporting mandates, IRS Form 5500 proposed regulations and new Schedule J, as well as other pending legislation.

The IRPAC, established in 1991, provides an organized public forum for discussion of tax information reporting issues between IRS officials and representatives of the public. The committee presents an annual report to the IRS Commissioner.

Advisory committee members provide constructive observations regarding current or proposed IRS policies, programs, and procedures, and propose improvements to information reporting operations and the Information Reporting Program through a final report. IRPAC also responds to draft regulations and notices through comment letters.

Lisa Allen brings over 25 years of employee benefits experience to her role as the legal and regulatory compliance subject matter expert for the Clients of Relph Benefit Advisors. Lisa manages regulatory updates and client council regarding ERISA, Section 125, the Affordable Care Act and managing employee eligibility.

Lisa has been a speaker for the WNY NHRA, Allegany Chamber of Commerce, New York State SHRM Conference, Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce, Rochester and Buffalo Chapters of the National Association of Health Underwriters, Benefit Advisors Network, (BAN), and ECFC Symposium. Lisa is the Chair of the BAN Compliance Committee, and a Member of the ECFC Conference Committee.
