These compounds  help to  detoxify  the body. These betalain compounds can suppress cyclooxygenase enzymes, which can contribute to tumor growth.
Beetroot is a rich source of folate, manganese and also contains thiamine, riboflavin, vitamin B-6, pantothenic acid, choline, betaine, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, copper and selenium as well as nitrates.
Beetroot tends to contain: Inorganic Nitrate (NO3-), as the main bioactive for cardiovascular and endurance exercise interactions
Carbohydrates , Protein and Fat in beet root :
In addition to being low in calories, the beetroot supplement is also much lower in carbohydrates, but the juice is a better source of protein. Carbohydrates  provide energy, while protein supports muscle mass, immune  system  and body repair.

Phyto pigments from fruits, vegetables, flowers,  underground stems,  of various colors like, green,  red, orange, yellow, rainbow, velvet, black etc are important too.Vegetables are the best source of dietary  fibers and fruits are the best source of enzymes.
