LOS ANGELES - Dec. 19, 2016 - PRLog -- Recently I read Beyond the E-myth by Michael E. Gerber. If you haven't heard about this book yet you will.

Almost all of Michael Gerber's books are big hits.

His basic premise is that many people who hate their jobs, and their bosses, will often start their own business.

Gerber often refers to this as; "technicians having an entrepreneurial seizure."

The point being that these new business owners don't have the management skills to actually run a business.

And his entire series of E-Myth books, of which there are many, make this point in a number of ways.

Basically, his books outline the methods to treat your business like a franchise with:

- standard operating procedures;
- lead acquisition;
- sales conversion;
- leadership and management systems.

In his new book; "Beyond the E-myth" which is billed as his "last E-myth book" he continues this discussion and offers readers the opportunity to get personalized E-Myth business training through one of his facilitators.

So this is where my remarks may be viewed as controversial.

While it is obvious that Mr. Gerber is an incredibly brilliant writer, and business leader, there are a few points I would like to make:

#1 - Gerber cites the statistics on the high number of small businesses that fail. And depending on the government statistics you use this could be 98% in the first year or 68% in first five years.

#2 - He also points out the importance of small business owners having a franchise-like system in place to avoid falling prey to these statistics.

#3 - I've also heard Mr. Gerber use the number of 100,000 businesses that have gone through the "E-Myth Process." But, as of yet, I have not seen any statistics on how many of his E-myth trained businesses are success stories.

Now when you hear him speak about the E-Myth training it is a very elaborate undertaking starting with a blank sheet of paper and what he calls "The Dreaming Room."

He makes the point, over and over, about how his E-Myth process is reshaping small business as we know it.

Okay...

But our Insight Blueprint member isn't looking to necessarily create an entirely new business from scratch.

Our member is the 9 to 5 worker who needs one or two thousand dollars extra each month to get some breathing room from his, or her, bills.

For years my staff and I have explored, and experimented, to find proven methods to turn on cash flow for part-time home business owners.

Sure, some of these members may eventually take the leap to full-time business ownership. But the majority of our members are looking for new income streams to make life easier.

And most of this new money will come right from the internet!

The final point I will make is that I have heard Mr. Gerber make some comments that seem to look askance at the digital entrepreneur. Whom he sometimes calls the "solo-entrepreneur."

He's made the point of how important OFF line business ownership is to build the economy and help the small entrepreneur build a 'real' business.

Yet, the initial marketing of the "Beyond the E-Myth" System starts with a 3 hour online training course. Yes, it's digital and shows Michael Gerber on camera.

This 3 hour training course leads to the option of:

A) one on one coaching;
B) small group coaching;
C) or larger group coaching which is a subscription and I believe these options are also delivered online.

But even if they are delivered via group conference calls this method is still a far cry from opening brick and mortar businesses with overhead, labor, and the like.

The pricing options range from $99 dollars up to $995 dollars a month.

I think it's undeniable the leverage that generating income online offers these days. And the subscription model is here to stay.

So if you are working a job or are looking to create some additional side income I invite you to take the Insight Blueprint 7 day FREE trial.
