Learn Tips to Deal Effectively with the Media

TYLER, Texas - Dec. 13, 2016 - PRLog -- Business leaders from all types of industries can learn from the upcoming panel discussion on "Dealing Effectively with the Media," a luncheon event sponsored by the East Texas Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on January 11, 2017, at The Potpourri House, 320 Troup Highway in Tyler.

The program will explore media relations, probing the minds of three public relations professionals with vast expertise in media management. Panelists include:

·        Karolyn Davis, Director of Communications and Marketing for Grace Community School

·        Rebecca Berkley, Director of Public Relations for East Texas Medical Center Regional Healthcare System

·        Rebecca Sanders, a Tyler-based public relations professional with 30 years in the communications industry

Following a Q&A format, the facilitator will ask the panel several probing questions, then open the floor to attendees who can bring their own media-related questions.

"This program will be inspiring to business professionals who need to understand the ins and outs of working with media sources," says Trish Terrell, director of communications for HealthFirst and president of the IABC East Texas Chapter.

The program is open to IABC members as well as all business professionals within the greater Tyler area. Program fees, which include lunch, are $20 for IABC members and $25 for other attendees.
