Award-Winning Book Series Releases Newest Title Featuring Collection of Original Poetry & Stories
Book features expressive writing about loss and illness by 18 women writers from across the globe
Series creator Lynda Cheldelin Fell partnered with authors Mary Potter Kenyon and Marilyn Rollins in the compilation featuring a collection of expressive writing that includes original poetry, prose, journal entries, and more by 18 women as they journey through different struggles including loss and mental illness.
"Following the principle of like cures like, sharing our stories through different hardships touches the hearts of both reader and writer. It is comforting to know someone else understands the shoes we walk in, and the struggles we face along the way," said series creator Lynda Cheldelin Fell. "Our written words become a portable support group, and it helps us feel less alone. These stories say we survived, and you can too."
"The contributors of this book find hope in writing. We create stories about lives, about our moments together, about death, about who we now are. We speak stories of our own illnesses, and the illnesses of those around us, and these stories become a light we offer to others," said Dianna Vagianos Armentrout, a poetry therapy practitioner who wrote the book's foreword.
The popular and award-winning Grief Diaries series has grown to over 500 writers from 11 countries. Each book in the series offers personal accounts about life experiences, earning acclaim from some of the world's most notable influencers including Dr. Bernice A King, daughter of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Candace Lightner, founder of Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Cheldelin Fell donates a portion of retail profits from every book to nonprofit organizations. For more about Lynda Cheldelin Fell, visit www.LyndaFell.com.
