Pravin Mathur Joins Clark Nexsen as Geospatial Information Systems Market Leader

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Dec. 6, 2016 - PRLog -- National architecture and engineering firm Clark Nexsen has hired Pravin Mathur to lead the firm's Geospatial Information Systems practice. In this role, Mathur is responsible for project delivery and business development efforts. Mathur's career has blended the application of geospatial technology to the built environment. With more than 20 years of experience in both the consulting and public sectors, he has extensive experience in the field of GIS, with organizations including the U.S. Census Bureau, DC State Data Center and the Office of the Chief Technology Officer, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and Police Foundation.

Mathur previously served the City of Richmond as part of the Accreditation Team for the American Public Works Association (APWA) credentialing of the agency. He was instrumental in the citizen engagement initiatives at the City and led the team that provided GIS mapping and analysis support for the UCI World Bicycle Championships in 2015. Mathur initiated a mobile pilot project at the City for service delivery, which projected not only cost savings, but also improved productivity.

Mathur was the on-site manager at the U.S. Bureau of Census during the Census 2000 Count Review process, providing GIS data and custom application development and training during the entire review process.

He holds a Master of Urban Spatial Analytics from the University of Pennsylvania and is a member of the Certification Committee of the GIS Certification Institute.
