Statement of The Cuba Consortium on the Death of Former Cuban President Fidel Castro

WASHINGTON - Dec. 1, 2016 - PRLog -- Over the weekend, The Cuba Consortium issued the following statement after the passing of Fidel Castro:

"The Cuba Consortium would like to express our condolences to the people of Cuba on the passing of former Cuban President Fidel Castro. Castro's death marks the end of an era that comes at a moment of new beginnings in the bilateral relationship with the United States. We are resolved to continue our work to deepen the relationship between the United States and Cuba through friendship, the arts, and business."

Located in Washington, DC, the Cuba Consortium is an assembly of companies, non-profit organizations, investors, academics, and entrepreneurs organized to track and examine the normalization process in both countries and to inform and prepare its members for opportunities to engage Cuba. The Consortium does not lobby either government but informs members, educates the public, and contributes to the debate to bridge the gap between opposing views.
