3D Coloring and Logic Puzzles - Changing the Way We Teach Geometry

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. - Dec. 1, 2016 - PRLog -- HEROES Academy announced today that it is raising funds via a crowdfunding campaign via Kickstarter to publish 3D Coloring and Logic Puzzles, an innovative new geometry manipulative and coloring book.  The company set out to raise $6000 on Kickstarter to print and distribute the first batch of their latest project that will change the way students learn geometry.

3D Coloring and Logic Puzzles combines the creativity of adult coloring books with the critical thinking skills of logic puzzles to teach geometry in a new and exciting way.  HEROES Academy Founder Rita Voit says. "As the math teacher, I strive to connect children to the beauty of logic that is the core of math, to help them see the rules of math not as confusing constraints but as guides to use for their own creations." This innovative new coloring book contains over 40 2-Dimensional net designs including various prisms, pyramids and platonic solids which teach students how to solve for surface area, volume, and perimeter of 3-Dimensional shapes.  In addition, students learn about the vertices, edges and faces of 3-Dimensional shapes.  The designs are fun to color and decorate while students gain a deeper understanding of these geometric shapes.

HEROES Co-Founder and Illustrator of 3D Coloring Danielle Voit says, "3D Coloring and Logic Puzzles is a great classroom tool for both teachers and homeschool parents.  The best aspect to this project is its versatility.  We find that adult coloring fans have a blast coloring and assembling the shapes.  They even make great Christmas ornaments!"  Each coloring page contains intricate designs inspired by adult coloring books, stars, flowers, landscapes, mandalas and more.  The book is designed to be printed on 100# cover stock for added durability.

Backers can receive this coloring book for as little as $15 if they pledge early.  Other rewards include signed editions, parent-child packages, education packages and even a 6 hour coloring session with creators Danielle and Rita Voit.  The parent-child package includes one adult coloring book plus 10 reproducible children friendly designs.  The educator's package contains one adult coloring book, 10 reproducible children friendly designs and lesson plans to use this manipulative to teach geometry to 4^th, 5^th, 6th and 7^th grade mathematics.  All proceeds from the sale of this book will go to HEROES Academy for the Gifted.
