-- Each year Celito Communications (celito) has a big Christmas party for staff and spouses. This year, the celito team started a new holiday tradition by using the money to give back to children in the community. They partnered with Children's Home Society to sponsor local foster children. Each of celito's employees chose a foster child's Christmas wish list and was given $100 to shop. Children's Home Society was founded in Greensboro in 1902.
Sharat Nagaraj, celito's CEO, said, "We are so lucky to have our work, homes, and families. After hearing about the opportunity to provide Christmas gifts for foster children, I knew this was a program I wanted to get involved with." Sharat Nagaraj is passionate about supporting the arts, children, and veterans/military. Sharat Nagaraj is on several boards in the area, including Marbles Kids Museum.
celito is a Raleigh telecommunications company that provides fiber Internet to businesses. They also offer VoIP, IT consulting, and data center solutions. According to celito, they stand apart from the big cable companies by providing local support, using cutting-edge technology, and investing in the community. Laurel at celito said, "Participating in Hope for the Holidays is just one example of what makes us unique. Employees chose to sponsor foster children's Christmas wish lists rather than having our big annual Christmas party. We don't just say that we are committed to the community, we act on it as well. We even have a Miracle League team, the Biscuits." http://celito.net/about-celito
