Increasingly Popular Home Renovation Projects

Nov. 25, 2016 - PRLog -- We are a luxury interiors company specialising in the design, supply and installation of tiles, stone, wooden flooring and bespoke furniture. We have 25 years' experience in the industry and have undertaken many projects throughout Ireland and the UK.

As can probably be guessed the majority of our domestic projects involve either the kitchen or the bathroom. As long as there are kitchens and bathrooms people will always need tiles! However in recent years we have seen a strong trend of clients now wanting to tile other areas of their home such as hallway, living area etc. whereas in the past they maybe opted for carpet or wooden flooring. This is usually with one of two very popular designs. One of the options available now is 'wooden floor effect tiles.' Wood-effect tiles are one of the key emerging trends in interior design right now, capturing the beauty of natural timber and combining it with the durability and ease of maintenance of tiles. As they're made from glazed porcelain, they won't warp or rot and are incredibly easy to keep clean which gives them a great advantage of natural timber and are perfect for use in any room in the home. We find many clients now are choosing to start these tiles in their hallway and continue them through their entire ground floor! (Picture attached)

The other trend we are seeing now is statement hallways and entry ways. There are countless tile collections now which can really give your home that 'wow factor'. We encourage clients to include these designs as early as possible in the journey through their home to give their guests a stunning first impression. Again, the options available are countless however we usually see customers opting for a more traditional approach such as 'Victorian Style Floor Patterns' which have been a massive seller for us, even among younger clients! One tip which we would give to all clients is to take their time! Many clients, especially younger couples and first time buyers, are so excited with the thought of their perfect home that they rush in to things and go with the first thing they see only to regret their decision later down the line. We always encourage them to select a few different options, go home, think about it carefully and only then make their decision. Our design team always works closely with our clients to ensure that all angles are covered and that they have considered all options available to them. It always makes for a better buying experience and prevents any unneeded disappointment further down the line!
