BRAMPTON, Ontario - Dec. 10, 2016 - PRLog -- This advanced Toastmasters club requires that members have completed their Competent Communicator award and hold a dual membership in their home club. Unlike a regular club which usually meets weekly, this advanced club meets every 2nd and  4th Friday of the month from 7 to 9 pm at the upper level of Fortinos supermarket, 35 Worthington Avenue Brampton, ON L7A 2Y7.

D'souza announced, "Raising Champions Advanced Toastmasters Club Brampton, chartered on November 30, 2016 with 27 members in just 3 launch meetings - setting a record for being the fastest club to charter so far!"

Jacklyn Payne, DTM, Club Extension Chair and Club Champion had this to say "Bringing people together for a cause or initiative takes a special skill set. I was happy to be the Champion of this project, from arranging the venue, planning the Launch meetings schedule,  mobilizing the people and working with a dynamic team to deliver the final product "Raising Champions Advance Toastmasters" Everyone that I approached who wanted to become a member of this Champion club, all had one thing in common. "They wanted to take their Toastmasters learning to a higher level". The need for this advanced club was so strong, that within 21 days of our first launch meeting, 21 chartered applications were submitted. By the 26th day we had 27 charter members, more than the minimum requirement to charter a club. On Day 33 we were officially recognized as a chartered club with full operational rights. That was fast! I also think the fastest club launch for District 86. A big thank you to Lena Shaw, Roger Caesar, Dennis Bartel, Glynis D'souza and all the Charter members for their contribution in making this project a success."

"As a member of Toastmasters, I'm always searching to improve my skills to the best of my ability. When the opportunity to have an advanced club in Brampton came about, I jumped on board eagerly, not only as a sponsor of the club but as a chartered member." - Roger Caesar, ACS, ALB, 2 Time Semi-Finalist World Championships of Public Speaking.

Caesar added - "This is a great step for Toastmasters in the surrounding area, because it gives them an opportunity to hone their skills as a speaker. With articulate roundtable evaluations from skilled Toastmasters, speakers will get a greater insight as to how they can improve and become even better at their craft. I am very proud to be a part of the first advanced club in Brampton!  This club will enhance and sharpen the skills of experienced Toastmasters by providing round robin evaluations, videotaped speeches and informative workshops.  Come visit as a guest or join if you'd like to sharpen your skills! The world needs leaders. Leaders head families, coach teams, run businesses and mentor others. These leaders must not only accomplish, they must communicate. By regularly giving speeches, gaining feedback, leading teams and guiding others to achieve their goals in a supportive atmosphere, leaders emerge from the Toastmasters program. Every Toastmasters journey begins with a single speech. During their journey, they learn to tell their stories. They listen and answer. They plan and lead. They give feedback—and accept it. Through our community of learners, they find their path to leadership.
