PALM COAST, Fla. - Nov. 16, 2016 - PRLog -- Doug and Janice Reid, owners of Cypress Knoll Golf & County Club, are pleased to announce that the restaurant at the golf course, now called The Players Room, has reopened this month. Chef Bruce Ganem and front-end manager Wanda Dearth have been hired as part of the reopening.

"We've hired a fantastic chef and the feedback on the food has been overwhelmingly positive," said owner Doug Brown. "We had 75 people on Wednesday for our seafood bar," he added. The seafood bar included cooked to order pasta with mussels, scallop, shrimp scampi, beef, and chicken in a variety of sauces.

The new menu includes soup of the day, salads, a variety of appetizers such as fried mozzarella, chicken wings, Cajun angels – bacon wrapped shrimp with Dijon cream sauce, chicken tenders, as well as sandwiches and entrees such as chicken, seafood – Scrod, salmon, sides, and some desserts.

"The kitchen was professionally cleaned," said Janice Reid. "Everything was taken out and it was cleaned ceiling to floor," she added. Several new pieces of kitchen equipment were also purchased or repaired, including a new convection oven for banquets and events such as weddings, corporate meetings, baby showers, birthday parties and more.

Chef Bruce Ganem is from Rhone Island and moved to Flagler County to raise his children. He has attained the level of Master Chef from the American Culinary Federation and has over 25 years experience as an Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef.

Wanda Dearth has also recently joined the restaurant as the front-end manager. Wanda had vacationed in Flagler County for years and moved here two years ago. She lives in Flagler Beach. Wanda enjoys creating her own drinks for customers, including a salted caramel apple martini.

The restaurant hours will be Monday, Tuesday (followed by Nine 'n Dine dinner for members), Thursday 11:00am until 5:00pm, Wednesday (pasta night), Friday (Chef's special's night) and Saturday (steak night) 11:00am until 7:00pm, and Sunday 10:00am until 5:00pm, with brunch from 10:00am until 1:00pm.

With their commitment to giving back to the community, the restaurant is hosing a holiday jazz concert benefiting local charity Christmas Come True. Tickets are $35 per person, and include a concert by jazz singer Linda Cole & Ensemble, heavy hors d'oeuvres and a drink. Cocktail attire is suggested and those interested in attending are asked to RSVP to 386-302-1290.

Cypress Knoll Golf & Country Club is located at 53 Easthampton Blvd in Palm Coast. The 18-hole signature course designed by Gary Player reopened September 2016.
