Citroen van vehicle broke down with only 773 miles on the clock!

Shop4bikers team purchase Citroen Relay new van in September broke down after 773 miles on the clock. Took 6 weeks to receive the van back. Had to leave company's equipment in the van for 4 weeks whilst vehicle was left in Germany.

CHESTERFIELD, England - Nov. 11, 2016 - PRLog -- Shop4bikers sell motorcycle apparel clothing, accessories and luggage. We do not have a delearship but we sell online and take our products to customers by trading at 28 events within the UK and mainland Europe.

This year we had an excellent opportunatity to trade at the WORLDSBK motorcycle racing events in Spain, UK, Italy. Due to the incresing miles we pruchase a new van.

We are posting this to give an update  to everyone on the appalling service and treatment we have received from both Citroen and PerrysMotorsUK of Barnsley.

We bought a brand new Citroen Relay van on August 28.

Travelled to an event in Germany on Sept 13 and it broke down with only 773 miles on the clock.
Recovered by the AA to the nearest dealer (which took over 6 hrs to a dealer 20km's away!!)
Dealer could not fix within 3 weeks so agreed to have vehicle recovered to UK.
All our stock and equipment was in the van but the AA nor Citroen would offer a replacement.
They offered us a German MPV which we had to load all our stock into but leave all our marquees, counters and equipment, drive from Berlin to Calais, unload and swop to a UK vehicle then take the 1st vehicle back to Dunkirk ( No hire depot in Calais!) then drive back to Calais for the Ferry.
We were charged an additional 1 way hire fee plus "drop off in another country " fee which nether the AA nor Citroen will reimburse
IT TOOK 4 WEEKS TO GET OUR VEHICLE BACK (with all our equipment inside).
We were desperate for a vehicle to carry on trading and needed to travel to events in Spain and France, and to give some credit to Citroen UK, they agreed to pay towards the cost of a hire vehicle to attend these events. But we still had to pay up front and are STILL waiting for Citroen to reimburse us.
PerrysMotorsUK of Barnsley diagnosed that an injector had failed and fixed it in 4 days.
We collected the vehicle to discover that #PerrysMotorsUK would not even clean the van properly as it was not their policy to clean vehicle roofs!!
THIS WAS A BRAND NEW VEHICLE THAT HAD BEEN LEFT PARKED UNDER TREES ON WASTE GROUND OUTSIDE A CITROEN DEALER IN GERMANY FOR 4 WEEKS!!
Whatever happened to "customer care"???
IT HAS TAKEN 6 WEEKS FROM BREAKDOWN TO COLLECT AFTER REPAIR. That's 6 weeks lost road tax, 6 weeks lost insurance etc etc....
We have had no follow up calls from PerrysMotorsUK of Barnsley to enquire if all is now OK.
The AA have still not refunded us for the hotels and other costs that we are entitled to under the laughable Citroen warrantee.
Citroen UK are not willing to offer any further finance reimbursement towards the £1000.00's we are out of pocket in lost earnings and expenditure incurred.
Please read this to make you aware before you purchase a commercial van what these companies actually think about their customers when things go wrong.
