A stable rise of full data breaches has been recorded in the past six years. More likely, 2017 and beyond will be of no difference, except for a new trend in fraud and identity theft that is no longer just about stealing credit card data and basic personal information, but a person's complete transactional record. When that person makes an online purchase, or uses a credit card, the product purchased and the place where it was bought from are all included in this record.
Through the proliferation of online retailing, and with so much of people's data located online through various databases and cloud storage, criminals can gain access to vast resources of sensitiveinformation. This information can be your medical history, your bank records, or even information about your children. Most often, this information is being used against you, rather than just to steal your ID.
Furthermore, with the growing dependence of companies on paperless transactions, electronic data, and computer networks, it is more crucial than ever that they are aware of these trends so they can start implementing risk mitigation against potential invasion of their customer's right to privacy.
In this one-hour LIVE Webcast, a panel of key thought leaders and data security professionals assembled by The Knowledge Group will offer individuals, businesses, financial institutions, and other organizations an in-depth discussion of identity theft, cyber fraud, data breaches, and privacy issues.
