PRLog -- The Canadian scientist, Dr. Stoyan Sarg, provides a staggering warning. In his recent article "
Are we on the eve of total life extinction?" he warns of the possible loss of the Earth's atmosphere in case of a nuclear war due to simultaneous powerful nuclear explosions. Dr. Sarg's concern is based on his research and analysis of the first few seconds of nuclear tests in the atmosphere revealing a tornado effect and some effects in the upper atmosphere. Tornado effects were also observed on the Sun, during eruptions or falling comets causing an ejection of enormous amount of ionized gas into space. His conclusions are in agreement with the research of US scientist Dr. John Brandenburg about the fate of Mars. It is now a dead planet, but once had rivers, an ocean, and consequently an atmosphere.
In his paper presented at the 46th Lunar and Planetary Science Conference (2015) organized by NASA, Dr. Brandenburg presented scientific evidence that Mars lost its atmosphere in the distant past due to two powerful nuclear explosions.
Dr. Sarg warns that a nuclear war will be the most dangerous manmade event that should be completely excluded as an option. The only way to avoid a nuclear catastrophe, according to Dr. Sarg, is to release the tensions between nuclear superpowers and initiate negotiations on this issue.
Dr. Stoyan Sarg is an emeritus member of the Society of Scientific Exploration and distinguished advisor at the World Institute for Scientific Exploration.
