Aspergillosis and Moldy Indoor Environments Discussed in New Video

PHOENIX - Oct. 30, 2016 - PRLog -- Today, the IAQ Video Network and Cochrane & Associates announced the release of their latest educational video.  Their newest production discusses aspergillosis and indoor environments contaminated with mold.

"Aspergillus is a mold that can in some circumstances be found growing in both outdoor and indoor environments," said Paul Cochrane, President of Cochrane and Associates and the IAQ Video Network.  "The CDC reports that fewer than 40 of approximately 180 known species of Aspergillus cause infections in humans. Exposure to those species can cause aspergillosis in some people with a weakened or suppressed immune system. It's important that indoor environments with at-risk people not be contaminated with this common mold. Places of high concern often include nursing homes, hospitals and other healthcare settings."
