Ascensus Supports National Save for Retirement Week 2016

DRESHER, Pa. - Oct. 20, 2016 - PRLog -- Ascensus—the nation's largest independent retirement plan and college savings services provider—has announced its continued support of National Save for Retirement Week, an annual weeklong initiative aimed at educating workers about the importance and need for saving for retirement.

National Save for Retirement Week, also known as National Retirement Security Week, was founded in 2006, when Senators Gordon Smith (R-OR) and Kent Conrad (D-ND) introduced the first resolution establishing the initiative. It began Sunday, October 16, and will be held through October 22. Its primary goal is to elevate public knowledge about retirement savings and to encourage employees to save and participate in their employer-sponsored retirement plans.

This year's theme, "Your Whole Story," encourages American workers to consider the importance of saving throughout their full financial journey. This mission aligns well with Ascensus' key product offerings, including 401(k) retirement plans and IRAs. Through these savings vehicles, account holders are encouraged to set an automated savings rate or direct deposit amount to achieve a secure future.
