Mark A. Stone Inducted into the Merv Tarde "Values in Leadership" Circle at DFW Technology PB
DFW Technology Industry is honored to induct Mark A. Stone into the Merv Tarde "Values in Leadership" Circle as the 2016 Recipient.
By: DFW Technology Prayer Breakfast
Mark was one of the original leaders who helped make the DFW Technology Prayer Breakfast a reality. His "Fruit of the Spirit" is evidenced through constant and consistent mentoring, career transition support, spiritual leadership in small groups along with his monthly reminders and encouragement to serve others (career and spiritually)
Currently serving as the System CIO for the Texas A&M University system, Mark exemplifies Christlike characteristics to all he comes in contact with. Prior to this, Mark served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Safety-Kleen Systems, Inc., Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Zale Corporation, and Director of Financial Operations for the Resolution Trust Corporation.
Mark is a Certified Public Accountant and the author of "The Three C's: A Career Enrichment Primer on Characterizing, Connecting and Communicating"
The Merv Tarde "Values in Leadership" Circle was created from the example he set connecting technology and faith. Merv was the Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer with Interstate Batteries for 16 years. He modeled Servant Leadership and was a humble leader in the DFW Technology Industry where he served on a variety of Industry Boards and Advisory Councils. His love for others and obedience to GOD has set the standard that we all should aspire to follow. Merv lost his battle with cancer in late 2014 and is in the arms of his Heavenly Father today.
DFW Technology Prayer Breakfast committee desires to celebrate the example Merv set for us all in awarding the Merv Tarde "Values in Leadership" Circle each year. 2015 Inductees were Jeffrey Blackwell, Deloitte and Phil Farr, Farr Systems. A word from Merv (https://www.youtube.com/
"In honoring Merv Tarde's memory as a humbled Christian leader we welcome Inductee Mark A. Stone into the 2016 Merv Tarde "Values in Leadership" Circle. Mark has consistently mentored and led through a Christian Biblical approach exemplifying how Christ would want us to build relationships, grow in our careers and live out our faith on a daily basis. Congratulations Mark and well done!" Says Dan Hayes, AVR Associates LLC and Committee Chair for Merv Tarde "Values in Leadership" Circle.

So what is a Prayer Breakfast?
We believe that most people are searching for something more out of life but are not sure what that is. We believe that longing will only be filed through a personal relationship with GOD and His son Jesus Christ. Our Prayer Breakfast event creates a place for us to share just what that looks like in our personal and professional lives. To view the 2015 Prayer Breakfast, visit YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/
Our Mission is very simple:
"To create relevant business environments for DFW Technology Professionals where a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ is presented and nurtured."
