More than 1000 students attend webinars on first day of the European Higher Education Virtual Fair

More than 1000 students participated in the live webinar on the first day of the European Higher Education Virtual Fair India and South Asia 2016 on 20th September 2016

NEW DELHI - Sept. 23, 2016 - PRLog -- The first day of the European Higher Education Virtual Fair India and South Asia 2016 on 20th September received an overwhelming response from Indian students from all over the country keen to explore higher education opportunities in the 28 Member States of the European Union.

More than 1000 students participated in the live webinars and interacted with representatives of leading higher education institutions and subject matter specialists.  Students have given excellent feedback and positive response to the idea of talking to the official representatives of leading European institutions from the comfort and convenience of their homes without spending any money whatsoever, simply by logging into the webinars at the given time.

Subject wise sessions were focused on different disciplines of interest to Indian students such as Engineeringin which Kaunas University of TechnologyLithuania, Technical University of Denmark, Technical University of Liberec, Faculty of Textile EngineeringCzech Republic, and Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Lithuania addressed the students and answered their queries.

Similarly, sessions covered Computer Science (EISTI France, EURECOM France, University of Tartu Estonia, and UniversidadePortucalense - Oporto Global UniversityPortugal), Business management and marketing (HalmstadUniverstiySweden, Masaryk University, Czech Republic) and Medicine, health and bio-sciences (Radboud UniversityNetherlands, Technical University of Denmark, University of Chemical Technology and MetallurgyBulgaria, and Kaunas University of Technology Lithuania).

Country sessions were taken by representatives of Germany (DAAD) and the Netherlands (Nuffic – NESO).  Thematic session on research opportunities in the EU under the Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions – Research Fellowships and European Research Council (ERC) grants scheme was taken by the representative of Euraxess Links India network, MsAinhitzeBizkarralegorra and a session on Visas for Europe was taken by Mr Mats Kuuskemaa of the Embassy of Estonia.

The webinar sessions will be held from 20-23 September from 1.00 – 8.30 pm everyday (with a break from 6.00 – 7.00 pm). More than 20 universities from different EU Member States and a number of Country representatives, business leaders and subject matter specialists will be addressing the webinars.
