A natural choice for a healthier home

The wood fibres in Breathe come from a fully managed source, and no harmful chemicals or formaldehydes are used in production – so not only is it better for the environment, unlike traditional underlays it doesn't give off any VOCs, harmful vapours or unpleasant smells after installation. It's even fully biodegradable at the end of its life.

But the biggest benefit from the wood fibres is – as the name suggests – their breathability. In tests, Breathe actually filtered out a remarkable 95% of dust from the air that passed through it, trapping even the smallest particles. That means enhanced air quality, a fresher-feeling home and an easier life for allergy sufferers; and according to QA, it can be used throughout the property to maximise the health benefits.

A fresh kind of underlay

Easily meeting BS5808 performance standards, Breathe's density and high compressive strength help to keep carpets in excellent condition and make them very comfortable underfoot.

It has a low thermal resistance (1.3 tog), making it ideal over underfloor heating, and is very stable, lightweight, easy to cut and easy to install. Its breathability prevents mould and damp building up underneath, so it can also safely be laid over old parquet flooring.
