Learn How to Write Effective Fiction and Memoirs at the Next Writers Resource Center's Workshop

FAIRFIELD, Calif. - Sept. 2, 2016 - PRLog -- Have you always wanted to write a novel or your true life story?  You can learn how at the next Writers Resource Center (WRC) workshop. The seminar will include lecture on effective fiction and non-fiction writing followed by a writing, sharing and critique session. A homework assignment will also be given. Acclaimed authors Vicki Ward, Janie P. Bess and other WRC members will lead the presentation. The event will take place on Saturday, September 10, from 10 am to 12 noon at 1745 Enterprise Drive, Fairfield, room 113.  The group's classes attract writers from local cities, Sacramento and the Bay Area; seating is limited. Anyone attending must RSVP by emailing janiepbess@yahoo.com. Preference will be given to members and first-come attendees.Admission is free for members (sign-up at the group's website listed below, if you are not a member); non-members pay a small fee. Complimentary refreshments will be served.

"Writers learn how to grow their craft at our workshops; that's the overall objective," says WRC's Founder and President Janie P. Bess.  "We hope to have the manuscripts of many of the people who go through our sessions included in our next anthology."

Participants should bring their own writing supplies and/or electronic devices.  The class is part of the group's Developing Authors Series. The Writers Resource Center is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2003 by Janie P. Bess, an author, recipient of a California state honors award from Assembly Member Susan Bonilla, and member of the National Association of Professional Women.
