USA Table Soccer Team Ready For World CupBy: American Subbuteo Association This will be the tenth time the USA attends the prestigious Subbuteo World Cup and the second time in a row that a full delegation of 8 players have qualified. The tournament will take place on September 2nd (Opening Ceremony), 3rd (Individual World Cup) and 4th (National Teams World Cup), with hundreds of players from all over the world competing to the last flick. The 8-player roster representing the USA was selected by the ASA after an intense week of training in Maryland. This is the list of the selected players: OPEN TEAM Daniel Cranston (MD) Christian Filippella (CA) Mike Tillman (MN) Patrick Sheridan (MD) VETERANS TEAM Paul Eyes (MD) Gregg Deinhart (VA) Paul O'Donovan Rossa (CA) Dario Passadore (FL) "I am really excited about the team we are sending this year, which has four national champions and a global top twenty player," said Paul O'Donovan Rossa, USA team captain. "Our goal is to perform the very best that we can, turning up more ready, prepared and focused than ever before, following a comprehensive and intensive training program over the last 6 months."
