"Touchdowns for Troops" Charity Event Features Both Ashley Wineland and Southern Experience

GLENDALE, Ariz. - Aug. 15, 2016 - PRLog -- They say that charity begins at home—but when it comes to our nation's veterans—Ashley Wineland will readily take to the road to lend her voice in support of this country's unsung heroes. And in this case…all roads are leading to Columbia, South Carolina--where Ashley and her band will be joining the award-winning North Carolina-based group Southern Experience for an event hosted by the University of South Carolina's Beta Theta Pi in support of the charity "No Greater Sacrifice".

Lending her name to worthy causes is a prime focus for Official CMT and national recording artist Ashley Wineland…especially when the charitable work revolves around issues related to our armed forces. In fact, the country sensation has even earmarked the proceeds from her single "Red White and Blue" and donates the earnings to benefit America's military personnel. Thus, when Anita Sayago of Edana Entertainment called and inquired as to Ashley's availability for veterans-related charitable cause, Ashley responded with an enthusiastic, "Yes!"

By coincidence, both Ashley Wineland and Southern Experience have appeared on the cover of the global music publication ION Indie Magazine. Editor-in-Chief Kiki Plesha—who also serves as Publicist for Ms. Wineland--recently had the opportunity to catch a live performance of Southern Experience. It occurred to her how the two groups' brands are well suited for collaborations and that their sounds would complement one another. This observation led to conversations with Anita of Edana Entertainment—representing Southern Experience--and discussions ensued regarding the possibility of the two bands working together in the near future. Thus, when this charitable opportunity came knocking, the timing was perfect for a co-billed performance.

"No Greater Sacrifice" is an organization that provides scholarships and resources to the children of wounded and fallen Service members. The September 10, 2016 music performance will run from 3:00 through 7:00 p.m., and will follow a Flag Football Tournament thrown by the fraternity. Breaker's Bar and Grill (801 Harden Street, Columbia, South Carolina, 29205) will be the site for this fundraiser, which Beta Theta Pi has titled "Touchdowns for Troops".

Attendees to the function will be treated to an evening of exceptional music by two of today's most popular acts—with Southern Experience bringing their brand of captivating Country Rock and Ashley Wineland and her band serving up sizzling Country music. Both bands are well known for high energy performances and engaging stage presences—to the delight of audiences nationwide. And both bands have each received their share of accolades. Southern Experience is the recipient of The Charlotte Music Awards 2013 "Country Music Band of the Year" for the Carolinas. Ms. Wineland recently signed to the Music Row agency, Nashville Artist Management. She will follow this charitable appearance with a whirlwind media blitz in Nashville—complete with a television appearance on "Nashville Entertainment Weekly"—along with various performances in "Music City".

According to Ms. Wineland, "I think it is wonderful that Beta Theta Pi at the University of South Carolina is supporting an amazing charity like 'No Greater Sacrifice'.
