Where to Find Dovetail Brewery Beer in Chicago

By: Dovetail Brewery

CHICAGO - July 21, 2016 - PRLog -- Since its opening, Chicago's newest craft brewery is off to a great start with numerous accolades and a growing number of venues offering its beers: Lager, Hefeweizen and Rauchbier. Dovetail's Lager is ranked third in the Kellerbier/Zwickelbier category on Untappd.com, a major blog for beer enthusiasts.

Dovetail's tap room, open Wednesday through Saturday, is offering Radlers--a refreshing mix of sparkling lemonade and beer. Dovetail's version mixes local Chicago soda producer Filbert's Lemon/Lime with its Lager or Hefeweizen, or for a different twist, the Rauchbier mixed with Filbert's Draft Root Beer. Chicago's Filbert's Draft Root Beer and Draft Lemon/Lime also are available on tap for a beverage everyone can enjoy.

What People are Saying About Dovetail

"A visit to new Dovetail Brewery is a must for any serious beer lover. You're unlikely to taste a better lager this year." - Josh Noel, Chicago Tribune

"In an American market dominated by hop forward beers and big stouts, the average craft consumer has turned their back on many of the traditional European styles. Whether it be a cloudy hefeweizen or smoky rauchbier, you're unlikely to see your local brewery focus more than the occasional one-off brew on these styles. Dovetail Brewery, the latest addition to Northcenter's packed beer scene, aims to change all that." - The Hop Review

"After leaving Dovetail, I was left appreciating the uniqueness the new brewery embodied. Not only did the co-owners have a very compelling story, but the beer they brewed also represented a complete step outside of the norm of what's expected at Chicago breweries. It was different than the hop-heavy IPAs and barrel-aged stouts that surround the current market. The European brew style makes you appreciate the vast complexity that goes into the beer making process and made me reconsider my personal beer preferences." - Taylor Laabs, SommBeer

"Having been to Dovetail Brewery once, and having drunk their beers a few times, I can say this -- I am reminded of the fact that the phrase "true to style" is ridiculously underrated. ... basically no breweries come out of the box with a lambic waiting in the wings, aging for years on wood and waiting for the day when they'll be blended together with something nice and fresh and wild. And basically no breweries run all their beers through a koelschip. And basically no breweries have a century-old piece of copper that they scavenged from an ancient brewery halfway across the world and pieced together there in their Ravenswood space. But then, there's Dovetail." Karl Klokars, Guys Drinking Beer

"Overall, not enough praise can be summed up for what these two are putting together in Chicago's Ravenswood Corridor at 1800 W Belle Plaine. I could write pages about the wonderful set up they have, but I recommend you set up a tour for yourselves and prepare to be impressed. At the beginning, I mentioned the beer buyers. I did so because on that day, without hesitation, they put Dovetail on their respective taps. This is a testament to Bill and Hagen's dedication and expertise." Alex Chavez, Porch Drinking

"I wouldn't have expected tradition to feel so refreshing, but in a hot spot for craft beers in a hipster market, bringing back European style beer doesn't feel overdone. The tour at Dovetail Brewery is really interactive compared to others we've taken; we tasted malt and touched and smelled the hops they use there." Jessica Lewandowski, Hedonist Shedonist

"The best of two worlds have just dovetailed at Chicago's newest brewery, Dovetail."
Carole Kuhrt Brewer, Chicago Eats

"Favorite beer of the summer." Sara Freund, Time Out Chicago

"Like the copper tank, Dovetail was built to last." Patty Wetli, DNAinfo
