Local Flagler County Company Approved for Walmart.com Distribution

PALM COAST, Fla. - July 7, 2016 - PRLog -- Walmart's fourth annual U.S. Manufacturing Summit was held on Tuesday, June 28 in Bentonville, Arkansas and included 800 companies selected or consideration to stock Walmart shelves and Walmart.com with American-made products. Respigard, made by Nature's Nurse International, Inc. headquartered in Flagler Beach, was among the finalists at the summit. Flagler Beach native Dr. Ted Anders, CEO, attended the summit with co-founder and VP Resina Koroi, who flew in from Fiji where the natural ingredient botanicals are harvested sustainably. Dr. Scott Carroll, medical director for the company, flew in from Colorado to discuss the safety and clinical efficacy of Respigard and the company's products

"Attending the summit was quite an experience," said Dr. Anders co-founder of Nature's Nurse International. "Respigard has traditionally been sold through asthma and allergy doctor's offices, health food stores and online, so being accepted for Walmart.com will be a big growth step for us," he added. Respigard is an oral serum that supports respiratory system (nose, sinus, throat and lung) function when a person is challenged by chemical or microbial air pollution, viral attacks during cold/cough/flu season-and a number of more persistent, chronic challenges.  Anders indicated that Walmar's Global Supplier Division is working with Nature's Nurse to plan for product placement in China, Mexico and elsewhere where urban air pollution is so dangerous and the citizens need strong, reliable, naturally safe respiratory support.

In 2013, Walmart pledged to buy $250 billion in made in the USA products by the year 2023. The suppliers, industry leaders, experts and innovators were all in for a surprise when the company announced that the conference attendees' products have been secretly pre-approved by the Walmart Chief Marketing Officer's team to be put on Walmart's website. There were just under 800 meetings scheduled with potential suppliers between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. This is the third year Walmart has opened its doors in an open call format…but the first year they privately selected and pre-approved companies and products for Walmart.com
