InVinity Wine Rack and the Great Porsche Puzzle

Taking on the challenge of designing and installing a 16 foot wine display at the Porsche Design Tower

RICHMOND, Va. - June 21, 2016 - PRLog -- For the past few weeks, InVinity has been busy working diligently on creating an ambitious tour de force wine display. The task was to build a free standing, 16 foot controlled wine environment consisting entirely of InVinity custom wine pull-out drawers with a complete mirror finish to be installed at the Porsche Design Tower.

When the newly built Porsche Design Tower contacted InVinity about its ambitious plans for a 16ft controlled wine environment, the team did not hesitate to take on the task. It was not easy, but InVinity never backs down from a challenge, despite the many design obstacles presented by the client's specifications.

Catering specifically to car aficionados with a certain penchant for the finer things in life, the Porsche Design Tower is an ultra-luxurious residential building located in Sunny Isles, Florida. Each apartment lists for between $7 million to over $30 million, with residents able to take their Porsche automobiles in a specially designed elevator right up to their floor. So, it goes without saying that with such a hefty price tag per residence, the wine room had to impress.

When InVinity began the design process, the first obstacle to tackle was creating a 16ft, free standing unit that was structurally sound. How can this be done, was the first question presented to the team. No one said that creating a master piece is easy, and this project was no different. To accommodate the staggering design, the engineers behind the innovative wine racking system thought of a massive puzzle, with each piece coming together to form a complete wine display of InVinity's unique pullout drawers.

The first piece was the base: a steel foundation that is entirely covered in an exclusive mirror finish. The next piece is the center, each section of which is connected via a ladder-like vertical column. Finally, there is the top section. The last step was cladding the entire display in the mirror finish. The whole display consists of custom InVinity drawers that were specially designed for this project. The total bottle capacity amounts to a whopping 2,000.

"With three separate pieces, we created a single controlled wine environment that meets the challenging specifications of the clients while at the same time storing wine at the optimal temperature," explained Paul Koder, founder and CEO of InVinity, who has more than 15 years of experience in the wine industry and has consulted for some of the most renowned names in the global luxury hospitality and real estate sectors.

InVinity is a unique concept in modular and custom wine racks that is bringing monumental change to the wine storage industry. The design patented wine rack systems are like no other on the market, allowing for endless possibilities when it comes to design, style and bottle capacity. The versatility of InVinity is what makes these wine display racks one-of-a-kind. With one post, up to 90 different configurations are available to showcase wine.
