Windermere among most affordable US metros with best public schools

DAVENPORT, Fla. - June 15, 2016 - PRLog -- For many international property investors buying in the United States, it is vital to be within easy reach of a top-quality school.

This is particularly true of Chinese investors and their families, who greatly value education and rank finding a property near an excellent school as a top priority.

So it is particularly pleasing for Feltrim Group, which has an office in Windermere, Central Florida, to see that the area's public schools are among the best and are near affordable real estate.

Insurance specialist, HomeUnion, has recently unveiled the results of a new study identifying the most affordable zip codes in major U.S. metro areas with the best public schools and Windermere was placed in the top 25 in the country.

Don Ganguly, Chief Executive Officer, of HomeUnion, explains, "The quality of public schools is one of the most important factors to consider when buying a home, especially for families," says. "In many cases, home buyers are willing to pay more to be located in a neighborhood with highly ranked schools, even if it means downsizing into a smaller home."

Home buyers should consider a school's test scores when making the decision to buy a home if they have children or plan to have children in the future, according to U.S. News & World Report. Graduation rates and student-to-teacher ratios also provide a deeper assessment of school quality.

"Remote residential real estate investors require similar insight into school quality since they're trusting someone else with their money," says Home Union and its website features comprehensive data on neighborhoods, including public schools information.

As Garrett Kenny, Chief Executive Officer of leading developer and agent, the Feltrim Group, explains in his book, Buying and Owning Property in Central Florida, which is available through the Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Buying-Owning-Property-Central-Flo...) website, "I've seen a big increase in Chinese children attending a school in the area where I live. Around 10% of the school are now Chinese children, who are mainly boarding students.

"Central Florida has an excellent range of schools - as shown by the Windermere area - and this is a vital factor for Chinese real estate investors who want their children to have a top-class education in the United States."

Half of the properties sold at Feltrim's popular Fountains at ChampionsGate development went to Chinese buyers and a similar proportion at its new luxury lakeside project Balmoral At Waters Edge are also being purchased by investors from China.

Balmoral At Waters Edge offers spacious 3-8 bedroom furnished homes with private pools that offers buy-to-let leaseback investors a 6% net return. The resort-style development has its own water park and resort pool, clubhouse with gym, restaurant and games room, playgrounds, mini golf area and many parks, gardens and lakes.
