The Mensa Foundation Colloquium to examine flora, fauna and the future

ARLINGTON, Texas - June 10, 2016 - PRLog -- In concert with the famed San Diego Zoo, The Mensa Education & Research Foundation will explore the current and future states of genetics at its 2016 Colloquium: Flora, Fauna and the Future, scheduled June 28 at the Town and Country Resort and Convention Center in San Diego. How does fog affect climate change in California's diverse ecosystems? What can we learn from the evolutionary patterns of popcorn flowers? These questions will be explored by featured speakers Dr. Sula Vanderplank, Interim Vice President for Research for the Botanical Research Institute of Texas and Dr. Michael G. Simpson, professor of Biology at San Diego State University. Also scheduled is a special appearance by zoo collections expert Stacey Johnson and behavioral biology expert Dr. Matt Anderson (subject to change). This all-day event is open to the public. The price of admission ($124 for non-members; $99 for current Mensa members) includes the morning and afternoon sessions and lunch.
