BOULDER, Colo. - June 6, 2016 - PRLog -- Space company Uwingu announced today an unprecedented campaign to honor dads for Father's Day 2016. From today through June 16th, Uwingu will give up to 100,000 people a free gift certificate to name a crater on our public engagement Uwingu Mars Map in honor of a father. Anyone can participate at http://www.uwingu.com/getupdates just by signing up for Uwingu's free newsletter. They will then receive a gift certificate on June 17th for a free Mars crater to name for a special dad in their life at http://www.uwingu.com .

Uwingu's Mars Map is planned to be carried to Mars aboard two planned Mars missions, the "Time Capsule to Mars Project" and the "Mars One" robotic lander.

Each customer who names a crater for a dad by Father's Day on June 19th will then receive a downloadable commemorative Father's Day 2016 Mars crater naming certificate to share with the dad they have honored.

Uwingu's founder and CEO, planetary scientist Dr. Alan Stern said, "Never before has anything like this been done to honor dads on Father's Day. Give dad something he will never forget, something truly novel, and out of this world. We look forward to smashing all records for the number of named craters on any Mars map through this Father's Day offer, and we hope people across the world will honor dads this very special way!"
