When I run out of syrup I run out of CO2?  Is my CO2 leaking?

Yes, if you run out of syrup flavoring and your pump is continuously pumping, you are wasting CO2.  To save CO2 and to save money you'll need to disconnect the CO2 line from the beverage pump.  See below for full details on how to disconnect the carbonation line from the soda pump.


If you're out of a syrup flavor and you cannot get your pump to stop pumping, you need to diconnect your CO2 supply.

This style of pump has a metal hook on the back side of the pump.

If you take a pen and push it out of the way, the CO2 supply will drop out the bottom of the pump.

Thus, saving you all the wasted product or CO2.

If a pump is allowed to go for more than 15 to 20 mins it will deplete your CO2 supply significantly.

A pump left unattended, leaking CO2 will drain your entire CO2 supply in 3 hours.

By simply re-inserting the hose and reconnecting the hook, you are able to sell product once again.
