L.A. Department of Public Works Approves Orion Solar Racking's Systems for Bonding Solar Modules

COMMERCE, Calif. - May 31, 2016 - PRLog -- The Los Angeles County Department of Public Works has approved Orion Solar Racking's residential (Venus) and commercial (Orion's Belt) integrated ground systems for bonding solar modules to UL2703 standards.

Orion's systems bond solar panel frames directly to the rails and brackets, which eliminates the need for separate module grounding parts and procedures. The core of the system are the grounding end clamps, mid clamps, and splice bars that utilize "teeth" to pierce the anodized coatings of the module frame as well as the rail. This creates an electrical bond that reoccurs throughout the array. Orion's integrated grounding systems have been tested and listed for bonding and grounding to UL2703 by UL and LADBS.
