New Trilogy By Bay Area Author Breathes New Life Into Forgotten Legends

Vacaville, CA.  May 23^rd, 2016 - Local author, speaker, and theatrical director Jessub Flower of Vacaville, CA debuts his "Jordy Nichols" trilogy by releasing the first volume, RedBird.  It is available now in both paperback and e-book formats at both Amazon and Barnes and Noble.  Two more volumes will follow in the near future, and will continue the adventures of Jordy Nichols and his mysterious "Uncle" Carver.

Flower enjoyed success of his first book, Daisy Hill, and has shared his recent excitement in writing for the Middle Grade/Young Adult audience both in his writing groups and on his self-named blog.  He has also been recognized as being a proponent of empowering creativity in young people in his community, encouraging writing in local schools, and has been sought after to be a guest speaker and presenter at several local venues.

RedBird is a contemporary story of Jordy Nichols, an eleven-almost-twelve-year-old orphan whose world is turned upside-down by a strange birthday present.  In the mysterious envelope are two plane tickets and a note.  A note that might actually be from his parents.  Guided by the contents of the package, and a beautiful and almost-mythical Red Bird, Jordy and his Uncle Carver begin an adventure that brings them face to face with amazing (and often frightening) legends as they journey toward their goal of unlocking the truth behind Carver's past - and Jordy's heritage.
