The book revolves around the life of Mr. Davis, a journalist in London, who comes to Goa on a holiday. During his vacation, Davis falls for a gypsy girl (and the beauty of Goa) and marries her with an intention to settle down in Palolem. Like thousands of residents in the state, they decide to lead a happy life with their kids, and involve themselves in tourist activities. But things can't go smooth for long, can they? In drastic turn of events, Davis finds himself in the center of a narcotic world. The story gets more intriguing when one incident leads to another. What happens to Davis after he gets trapped in this insane world of narcotics? Is there a way back out of it? Does he manage to escape back to London? Sunil Joglekar was born on 7 March, 1961, and is an engineer by profession. Being in the navy and having lived most of his life in Goa, bumping into tourists on the beaches of Goa and chatting with them was his favorite weekend pass time. During one such interaction, he decided to write a book on one of them. Besides writing, he loves to play music, preferably jazz or blues. He fancies playing his puck and the guitar together, as an accompaniment, when he sings his soulful songs. Likes to call himself, a one man band.
