NEW YORK - May 16, 2016 - PRLog -- Joe Simon, "Drowning In The Sea Of Love" Will Receive An Award And Be Honored In Philadelphia At Citizens Bank Park, Home Of The Phillies

African American Heritage Night, Baseball & Black Music Month Comes Together

Joe Simon "Drowning In The Sea Of Love" will stop by Philadelphia and receive the partnership award for his music industry contributions through Philadelphia. Simon will be honored on June 17, 2016, by the award- winning writer-producer  duo Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff and a member of the Phillies team.

The celebration will be a part of the African American Heritage Night. It is also, in part, a celebration of Black Music Month. This event is a blending of two of America's favorite obsessions - baseball and music.

Joe Simon was an American chart-topping, Grammy Award-winning, soul and R&B singer, and producer. Simon was the only Rhythm & Blues soul singer in the history of the soul music industry who was called and promoted as the "Mouth of the South," with the help of radio announcer John R/John Richbourg at WLAC Radio in Nashville, Tennessee.

After the Philadelphia event, Simon will continue his Community Outreach Program in a city near you.
