Arnold Schwarzenegger & Powerhouse Gyms the official Power Couple of The Arnold Sports Festival

BIRMINGHAM, Mich. - May 10, 2016 - PRLog -- The Governor's Ballroom in the Sheraton was standing room only for the "Governator". With over 200 guests in attendance, the energy waiting for Arnold to arrive was a presence all on its own. The guests in attendance for the event included, Powerhouse Gym owners with their families and staff, future Powerhouse Gym owners, IFBB and NPC officials, important vendors to Powerhouse Gyms, as well as various other lucky attendees.

The morning started with a beautiful and delicious breakfast where owners were able to mingle with one another, swap trade secrets and share in the commrodiry of being part of the Powerhouse Team. Owners were also able to meet and speak directly with key vendors such as Europa Sports Nutrition, ABC Finance, Les Mills, Hot Logic, Rhino Crossfit. Bringing our owners and our vendors together is a vital part of our business and is a relationship that Powerhouse Gyms International puts a great importance on.

As breakfast wound to an end our Co­founder and President, William K. Dabish, took the podium and addressed the room with a wonderfully motivating speech about the exciting future of the company as well as a heartwarming memory of the grassroots of Powerhouse and the vision that he and his late brother and Co­founder, Norman K. Dabish, had shared and built together.  Soon after Mr. Dabish was finished we received word that Arnold would be running late due to fitting in his workout that morning. Mr. Dabish, very humbly let the crowd know that Arnold would be late but it was just fine seeing as the man known as "The Austrian Oak" had chosen to do his training at Powerhouse Gym so all was forgiven!

The crowd waited for a short time very patiently and soon were visited by a team of bomb sniffing dogs in order to prepare the room for the former Governor. Arnold arrived with his security team and entourage. He was looking very happy and energetic as he entered the ballroom to a standing ovation. As the crowd took their seats Mr. Dabish presented The Powerhouse Legends Award to Arnold and then gave him the stage.

As Arnold spoke it was very easy to see how he has come so far from such humble roots. He is charismatic and confident and speaks to people where they are with zero pretension. He was very grateful for receiving the award and thanked Mr. Dabish and Powerhouse Gyms for all they have contributed to the fitness industry and healthy lifestyles that Arnold is so passionate about. He spoke on the history as well as the future of The Arnold Fitness Festival and how he hopes that Powerhouse will continue to be the official gym of The Arnold. After thanking Powerhouse one more time for his award Arnold left the ballroom but not, to the rooms gratitude, without a shout of "GET TO THE CHOPPA!!", and with that he was gone. Leaving in his wake, a sea of people with grins on their face and memories for a lifetime.

Overall the morning was a great success and we are looking forward to next years event with great anticipation and goals of even bigger proportions.
