Akinz's Find Your Wings Foundation Partners with Rig To Flip to Fund Dolores River Project

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - May 7, 2016 - PRLog -- Akinz is excited to announce its relationship with Rig To Flip and their commitment to telling the stories about land and water issues of the Colorado River Basin. Akinz commitment to the conservation of our environment made for a natural partnership on the upcoming project.

The funding for the project will donate 40% of the sales of the t-shirts specially designed by the founder, Suzanne Akin, to the organization. The design incorporates the Rig To Flip logo, boating oars and the foundation's wings for a classic looking river tee. The design comes in a women's tee or tank, a men's tee and a lightweight hoodie with sunny river days in mind.

Rig to Flip will be packrafting the Dolores river, located in southwest Colorado, that has been the subject of environmental concern since the installment of one of the west's last large dams in 1984. The result of this dam being nearly two decades of chronic low flows. The river habitat is becoming questionably viable in its ability to support endangered fish and the public is losing its ability to experience these wilderness lands, which are most easily accessed by raft and canoe. The river is further stressed by outdated irrigation practices and increased demand from the adjacent farm lands.This is a common story of water of the west that Rig To Flip intends to document and share with others.The funds from the Find Your Wings Foundation will enable the team to explore the once thriving river canyons, record their experience and share it with the world.
