NEWTON, Mass. - April 28, 2016 - PRLog -- Ascensus College Savings, one of the nation's largest administrators of 529 plans, served as a corporate sponsor for the Bottom Line organization's 11th Annual Get in, Graduate, and Go Far Dinner held on April 6, 2016, at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

Nearly 1,000 corporate and community leaders came together to celebrate Bottom Line's programs and support thousands of low-income and first-generation college students throughout Massachusetts. Bottom Line recently announced that this year's dinner exceeded its fundraising goal by over 30%.

At this year's event, both current students and Bottom Line alumni took the stage to share their stories and describe the impact that the organization has had on their lives. Ascensus associates and leaders were in attendance, including two Bottom Line program alumni who represented the talented professionals that this program fosters.

In addition to providing financial sponsorship, Ascensus College Savings has also partnered closely with the program in recent years to offer Bottom Line students internship opportunities. Ascensus College Savings employed three Bottom Line students in the summer of 2015 and is currently looking to hire program interns for the upcoming summer season.

"We are invested in our partnership with Bottom Line both on a personal and organizational level," states Adrienne Bentz, director of human resources at Ascensus College Savings. "This partnership gives us the opportunity to demonstrate our appreciation for our associate alumni of the program and support an organization whose mission and values so closely align with those of Ascensus."

Over the course of the 2016 year, the company plans to enhance this partnership to offer students additional professional development opportunities and training. Ascensus College Savings' human resources team will collaborate with associate volunteers to conduct mock interview sessions with Bottom Line students, coaching them in interview preparation and technique.

"Ascensus College Savings is pleased to offer our support to the Bottom Line organization, and we commend the program and its talented students for their accomplishments," states Jeff Howkins, president of Ascensus College Savings. "Through our continued collaboration, we hope to enable families and students to finance and achieve their higher education goals."
