POCOMOKE CITY, Md. - March 20, 2016 - PRLog -- Extraction of hydrogen from seawater, fresh water, brown water, and brine water can create new good paying jobs generating a continuous revenue stream that will offset the operational and maintenance cost of hydrogen production.

The revenue stream from the sale of the hydrogen to fuel cell systems for the hybrid electric / hydrogen automotive charging stations, residential / commercial energy, military, government, and other industries is $profit.

A 190 day continuous operation has been reached using a 3 watt .5 amp PEM fuel cell without failure disruption in the prototype equipment and the continuous production of hydrogen.

Water feed stock is re-supplied every 5 years using 2 gallon holding tank. It is possible to couple technology to solar and wind source to supply the 200 watts to run system.

Total cost to build prototype is $ 649 to continuously producing 24 x 7 1 liter of hydrogen every 9 seconds at 2 Bar = 29 psi. The alpha prototype is currently mounted on a 6 ft. foldable table that is portable.

The US Department of Energy's hydrogen production target goal using hydrocarbons/bacteria/sewage is $4 / Kg will be more costly than the hydrogen from seawater, fresh water, and brine water $0.30 / Kg targeted by this invention.

The prototype can supply pure hydrogen to fuel cell, fuel cell with lithium battery charger, and compressor for hydrogen storage use later.

Expectation to have an affordable production unit in 2017 is on track.
