VENTURA, Calif. - March 8, 2016 - PRLog -- Students for Eco-Education and Agriculture (SEEAG) is seeking a title sponsor for its upcoming Ventura County Agricultural Day Golf Tournament (http://www.seeag.org/agricultural-day-golf-tournament/) being held Monday June 27 at the Spanish Hills Country Club in Camarillo. Money raised by the tournament helps support SEEAG’s free agricultural education programs for kids in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties.

The golf tournament, now in its sixth year, is a show of support for the agricultural community and agricultural education. “We are seeking a title sponsor that has a strong relationship with the agriculture industry and who wants a way to solidify that connection,” says Mary Maranville, SEEAG’s Executive Director. “Sponsoring this annual golf tournament in such a beautiful location is a great way to promote not only your brand name, but your support of local agriculture.” The title sponsor name will appear on all tournament marketing materials, including the tournament program, signage and in news releases.

SEEAG is holding two other events this year that could benefit from sponsorships.

The first event is a Kids-to-Farms Jazz Brunch (http://www.seeag.org/kids-to-farms-benefit-brunch/), Sunday, April 17 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Camarillo Ranch. In partnership with the Future Farmers of America, the afternoon will raise money for the new STEM-based, hands-on Farm Lab at Petty Farm in Saticoy. At the Farm Lab, students learn about plant science, the soil ecosystem, pollination, insects and farm-to-table nutrition.

The second is Ventura County Farm Day (http://www.seeag.org/ventura-county-farm-day/), set for Saturday November 5. More than 20 local farms open their doors and invite the public to experience a day of agricultural learning firsthand. This popular event connects the community with its farming neighbors.

To learn about sponsorship opportunities, go to www.SEEAG.org/events or contact Erica Gross at erica@seeag.org, 805-272-0885.

About SEEAG

Founded in 2008, Students for Eco-Education and Agriculture (SEEAG) aims to help young students understand the origins of their food by bridging the gap between agriculture and consumption through its agricultural education programming. SEEAG’s “Farm to Table – The Journey of Our Food From Field to Fork” program based in Ventura County teaches school children about the origins of their food and the importance of local farmland by providing schools with classroom agricultural education and free field trips to farms. Through this program, over 10,000 elementary school students in Southern California have increased their understanding of the food journey. For more information, visit www.seeag.org or email Mary Maranville at mary@seeag.org.
