Ascensus Appoints Two Senior Vice Presidents

DRESHER, Pa. - Feb. 23, 2016 - PRLog -- Ascensus, the nation’s largest independent retirement plan and college savings services provider, announces the appointment of Thomas C. Albergo and Howard Insley as senior vice presidents in the company’s retirement division.

Mr. Albergo has been appointed Ascensus’ senior vice president of retirement operations. Over the course of his twelve-year career at Ascensus, Mr. Albergo has played a key role in initiatives across the company’s various retirement plan services teams.

“Tom continues to be a strong team player when it comes to supporting various initiatives while ensuring our day-to-day service delivery is performed within standards and with high quality,” states Shannon Kelly, Ascensus’ president of retirement.

Prior to joining Ascensus in 2004, Mr. Albergo served as head of operations at ING. He received his bachelor’s degree in business management from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and his Lean and Six Sigma certification from Pennsylvania State University.

Mr. Insley oversees Ascensus Trust Company, Ascensus Financial Services, LLC (Ascensus’ broker dealer), and Ascensus Consulting, LLC. He has over 20 years of experience in the retirement industry. Prior to joining Ascensus in 2007, he served in relationship management, client service, and operations management roles with Wachovia Retirement Services and T. Rowe Price.

“Howard has a unique background,” states Kelly. “His strong industry knowledge coupled with his expertise in trade-, trust-, and fund-related issues have continued to provide significant value to our organization.”

Mr. Insley earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and business from Randolph-Macon College and a master of business administration degree from Wake Forest University. He holds his FINRA Series 6, 63, and 26 licenses.
