EASTON, Pa. - Feb. 11, 2016 - PRLog -- Dipstick Ice Cream at the Park Plaza shopping center, 1800 Sullivan Trail across the street from the Forks Township Community Center, invites the public to come on by for an innovative new ice cream treat. The grand opening, to be held Saturday, Feb. 13, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. will feature opportunities to win Lehigh Valley Phantoms tickets and other prizes.

“This area of Eastern Pennsylvania is growing and we want to be part of that,” said Michael Penrose, who owns and operates the parlor. “This is a result of my business partnership with a longtime friend and the business advice of Howard Lieberman of Business & Community Financing Solutions.” The parlor is strategically located adjacent to the baseball, football and soccer fields at the community center.

Its signature hard ice cream on a stick debuted in December and features fudge, cherry or caramel coating, rolled in a topping of the customer’s choosing. A purveyor of Nelson’s Ice Cream, the shop has also become known for its Cupcake Shake and Dipped Alaska. As the weather warms, Penrose expects the shop to be open weekends from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and weekdays from 3:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Penrose further invites visitors to “like” Dipstick’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/Dipstick.IceCream/.
