WASHINGTON - Jan. 5, 2016 - PRLog -- Distance Learning Engineering (DLE), a higher education service, product, and technology company located in the Washington metropolitan area, has made a substantial commitment to the OER movement. DLE will publish seventeen OERs in business and management disciplines spanning multiple learning objectives. The publications will include information about financial systems, entrepreneurship, marketing and many other topics.

“All too often software vendors and content publishers reject powerful community movements that promote openness of materials with the hope that they will just go away,” says Joe Licata, founder of Distance Learning Engineering. “We take a whole different approach at DLE, and support learning theory, software, and technology that aims to lower costs for students, increase student retention for institutions, and draws new students to higher education. We are committed to making real tangible investments in support of higher education, and that includes the OER movement.”
