MODESTO, Calif. - Dec. 30, 2015 - PRLog -- Community Business College (http://www.communitybusinesscollege.edu/) has opened up its final voting of the “Word of the Year” contest for 2015 to the public.

Anyone who is interested may vote  in this annual contest sponsored by the college’s English department (although people are requested to vote only once per person).

Voting is taking place on this special Survey Monkey web page: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/8MN8CR5

This year’s finalists pit useful everyday words like “Reconciled” and “Industrious, against a new  mash-up slang word the Oxford English Dictionary added in 2015.

Once the winner has been decided, the final results will be posted on the college’s page -

www.cbcwebcollege.com. The winning word will be added to the Words of the Day list the school uses to help its student practice and expand their vocabularies.

Community Business College (http://www.cbcwebcollege.com/) staff pulled the words from the college’s correspondence throughout 2015 plus student and faculty nominations. Staff narrowed the finalists down to the top 5 words.

The goal of the contest is to inspire a love of language and an appreciate of the word tools we use everyday to communicate.
