| Temple Judea Holds Free Adult Education Class On Revelation On February 1 At 7pmBy: Temple Judea Temple Judea was privileged to have Rabbi Peter S. Knobel serve as the Interim Rabbi in 2013-2014. Rabbi Knobel also served as the spiritual leader of Beth Emet the Free Synagogue in Evanston, IL beginning in 1980 and is still an active teacher and worshiper in that community. He is a past president of the Central Conference of American Rabbis, as well as of the Chicago Board of Rabbis. In addition to authoring articles on a wide range of topics such as Jewish Bioethics, Liturgy and Zionist Thought, Rabbi Knobel chaired the Editorial Committee for Mishkan T'Filah. Rabbi Sam Kenner is a native of Nova Scotia, Canada and settled in the Boston area for 32 years before retiring and establishing residency in Miami in 1998. Rabbi Kenner completed the doctoral training program in Pastoral Counseling and Psychology at Boston University School of Theology. In Miami, he continues to teach and lecture in the fields of History and Religion and is the past president of the Institute of Retired Professionals at the University of Miami. Rabbi Kenner and his wife Sylvia are members of Temple Judea. Now celebrating67 years of Jewish Learning and Living in Coral Gables, Temple Judea is one of the largest Reform synagogues in Miami with approximately 600 member families.
