Exactly a year ago today, the Board of CEF SOC Limited ("CEF") violated my Constitutional Rights to Procedural Fairness by unlawfully removing me as Chairman of the Board of PetroSA SOC Limited.

At that juncture, the Board of CEF failed to uphold the most fundamental, cherished and sacrosanct legal principle of 'Audi Alteram Partem' when they repudiated my contract as Chairman of PetroSA till November 2017.

It is common cause that I have since launched legal proceedings against PetroSA in the South Gauteng High Court for reinstatement.

It is puzzling, however, to note that PetroSA have still not filed their Discovery Affidavit as per the Court Rules. It is even more regrettable that my attorneys now have to apply to Court to compel PetroSA to file their Discovery Affidavit.

Furthermore, my litigation against PetroSA in the South Gauteng High Court has the unfortunate consequence of interdicting PetroSA from appointing a permanent Chairman of the Board.

PetroSA can ill afford to continue to have a Board that is led by an Interim Chairman and a Management led by an Acting CEO, CFO, etc.

A Question that begs the Answer therefore; Why is the Minister of Energy seemingly failing to take appropriate decisive action to remedy this tragic state of affairs???
