The open house events will take place on Nov. 16 from 12:30-2.30 p.m. and 5-7 p.m., as well as Nov. 20 from 5-7 p.m. The office is located on the Fort Myers campus in building U, rooms 167-169. The HUCDICC envisions a Hodges University where people of all identities and experiences are understood, appreciated, and fully included in the community and where equitable treatment and outcomes prevail. In collaboration with the Hispanic Institute, Student Development, Human Resources, the English as a Second Language Department and the Frances Pew Hayes Center for Lifelong Learning, the HUCDICC will be a gathering place where open dialogue on the subject of diversity inclusion and cultural competency will be at the forefront, along with book reviews and facilitated discussions, brownbag Lunch & Learns, films and facilitated discussions, guest speakers, live diversity and inclusion performances, poetry review with facilitated discussions, seminars, theatre and music field trips, and workshops. Office hours will be Wednesdays, Thursdays, and half-days on alternate Fridays.
