About WithumSmith+ At WithumSmith+ Event Synopsis: In July 2014, a new standard for automatic exchange and disclosure of financial information was released by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). This document, The Standard for Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information in Tax Matters, includes the Common Reporting and Due Diligence Standard (CRS) which will delineate the scope and nature of information that will be shared between countries, such as account information of individuals, trusts, and foundations. In October, 2014, 51 countries signed a Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement on Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information.
