Axiomtek announces the release of the PICO842- a quad core, wide temperature Pico-ITX motherboard

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. - Oct. 26, 2015 - PRLog -- Axiomtek, one of the world's leading designers and manufacturers of innovative, high performance and reliable PC-based industrial computer products, is proud to announce the PICO842, an extreme-compact fanless pico-ITX single board computer (SBC) designed to support the Intel® Celeron® quad-core J1900 and dual-core N2807 (codename: Bay Trail) processors.

The extreme compact-size fanless embedded board supports dual display outputs through HDMI or VGA, and 18/24-bit single/dual channel LVDS. With improved media and graphics performance, the Axiomtek PICO842 is suitable for any graphics, imaging, and video intensive application. Its extreme compact-size also makes it perfectly suitable for IoT, medical, automation, and embedded systems applications. The Pico-ITX motherboard form factor measures 10cm x 7.2cm, 75% smaller than the mini-ITX form factor, making it well suited for space-constricting applications.

Axiomtek’s PICO842 has enhanced networking and communication capabilities. It offers a full-size PCI Express Mini Card slot with mSATA supported on the rear side. It also has a board-to-board expansion slot. Other advanced I/O interfaces include four USB 2.0 ports, two RS-232/422/485 ports, one Gigabit Ethernet port, an HD audio interface, and one SATA-300 slot. This fanless, rugged embedded SBC offers a long product lifecycle and is highly suitable for the IoT and M2M field. To ensure reliable operation, the PICO842 supports watchdog timer and hardware monitoring features. It runs well with Windows® 7 and 8.1 operating systems and requires only +12V DC supply input.
